I Lost 25 Eyelashes. Eye Pain because of Eye Drop Residues

Mon Oct 1st, 2013

Hello,
After waking up earlier this evening, I tried to put eye drops into my eyes, but many drops didn't go inside. I got up to see why my right eye felt painful and saw my eyes were bloodshot red and more eye drop residues pile up on my eyelashes. There was an eyelash along my upper eyelashes. I thought perhaps the eye drop residues weigh down my eyelashes, making me feel painful. I slowly poured a small cup of water and repeated it to wash my right eye and eyelashes because that was the only way to reduce the burning sensation. I gently touched my eyelash with the side of my index finger trying to get rid of the thick eye drop residues. Suddenly, a whole bunch of eyelashes fell out! Last time, I lost about 6 or 7 eyelashes each time twice, but this time it looked like it was much more than that. I tried to separate the eyelashes from the thick eye drop residue and started counting. Can you guess how many eyelashes fell out at once? 13! I saw about two eyelashes hanging on to my eyelashes in a vertical position. As I blinked, those two eyelashes pushed downward, making me feel uncomfortable. I poured more water, trying to wash away those two eyelashes. Instead, I saw three more eyelashes on my index finger and about 8 or 9 more poking into my right eyes, causing pain. Usually, I only wanted to pour two small cups of water to wash one eye at a time, but tonight I poured more than that. Sometimes, I focused my attention in washing down eye drop residues that I forgot wet eyelashes fell out more easily. The day before or a few days ago, several eyelashes fell out and poked my left eye. Many eyelashes poked both of my eyes simultaneously throughout the day, making it more painful. Whenever I wash my eyes, I pray that my eyelashes don't fall out and poke my eyes.
A long time ago, my eyelashes started to fall out. This condition continued which got my attention. The eye surgeon didn't know why my eyelashes fell out thus I continued to search for the answer on my own. I made the connection with hair loss, a symptom of thyroid disorder. When your eyelashes fall out like mine, you may want to see if it has a health implication and check for any nutritional deficiencies. For example, are you deficient in Iodine or Vitamins?

What I Eat for My Hair

Sept 30, 2013

Hello,
I'm thankful for natural shiny, straight, thick black hair. A long time ago when I was gently stroking my hair, I asked myself, "Can a person's hair be this smooth?" I became fascinated that it was not just smooth overall, but each strand was smooth. :-)  All kinds of hair ties and hair clips slide off my hair so I have to tie it with rubber band. I had so much hair that when I tied it up, I felt heavy. Unfortunately, my hair started to fall out then later I learned that it was a sign of thyroid disorder. Regardless of how healthy, or how much hair, or how unique it is, even if it's one of a kind, it can change due to illness.
More than 4 years ago, I became severely ill and my hair fell out like snow. I didn't want so much hair to fall out anymore so I gently rubbed fresh aloe vera gel onto the scalp in the back and top of my head. After many hours, I rinsed my hair with water then washed it with soap. Some time later, I put extra virgin coconut oil on my hair then washed it. One time, I forgot it was there. Haha. . . After I got sick, I forgot things frequently. My hair was strengthened and did not fall out as easily as before. It fell out if it got tangled and I held it with some force or combed it with my fingers.
I've been stressed and also my back and spine hurt so much that my head pressed down on the pillow and also hurt. I rubbed my head several times then my hair got tangled. After I woke up, I combed it with my fingers and my hair fell out. I thought to myself, "If I could gather all of my hair that has fallen out all of these years, a hair specialist can make a wig for another cancer patient."
While doing research on health, I learn about chia seeds and its benefits. I ate steel cut oat with chia seeds. When I was about to stop buying almond milk, I found Dr. Oz's video in which celebrity nutritionist Kimberly suggested a simple recipe with almond milk and chia seeds. I tried it and liked it a lot. :-) Thank you. I read an article about an older athlete performing better than younger ones and he shared that he got much energy because he often ate chia seeds. Today, I found a YouTube video on Hair Food in which HousewifeofSC shares that chia seeds have given her more energy and improved her dry and brittle hair. You can check it out here Food Tip # 4: Hair Food
I hope that you'll take even better care of your hair after reading this blog post. Your hair can indicate how healthy you are inside.

What I Eat for Eye Health

Sept 28, 2013

Hello,
I've been eating fish that is rich in Omega-3 such as salmon, flaxseeds, carrots, pumpkins, chia seeds, and vegetables to help my eyes heal. Please click the video, "How to Support Eye Health with Omega-3" by CardioTabs.

Art is my soul. Now, I can't draw or paint anymore. If you draw or paint, please consider using adequate lighting and rest your eyes and back. Thanks.

Eating Summary:
I have at least 1 green drink every day. I've tried to have at least 5 different kinds of fruits and vegetables a day--3 vegetables and 2 fruits. I would have 10, 12, or 15 servings of fruits every day like Gerson therapy if someone helped me, or had a more convenient juicer. I eat seaweed a few times a week. I can't skip seaweed and flaxseed because I need to get enough iodine for my neck and Omega-3 for my eyes and heart.
I eat fish, especially salmon at least 3 times a week on days that I don't have flaxseeds. Dr. Oz explains Omega-3 and heart health and lists the food sources rich in Omega-3 in this video.

In the video "Best Source of Omega-3, Organic Meat - 'Ask The Doctor' April 25, 2012" that I posted on Fri Oct 4, 2013 the eye doctor and nutritionist Michael Lange recommends sardines so I'll consider eating them. He says don't mix carrot with kale and spinach. I'll keep this in mind.
I've been looking for kelp and fresh mangosteen, not those in the can. Do you know where they sell them?
I want to drink raw milk (real milk), but haven't been able to buy them.

For safety, I do Not eat onions on days that I eat or drink honey. After listening to a monk sharing the death of two persons, I will Not eat soursop together with dragon fruit.

Music to Help You Sleep. Sleep for Eye Health

Friday, April 26, 2013

Hello,
I haven't been able to sleep at night. I had great discomfort throughout the night and the following day. My immune system became weaker. I felt cold and very itchy. My eyes became very blurry and more painful. Two nights ago, I couldn't sleep until morning so I was worried and stressed. Last night, I listened to meditation music (absolute Tai Chi) and fell asleep.

If you find it difficult to sleep or feel stressed, you may want to listen to the music at night. Thanks. I hope that it will also help you. I want to embed this video on my health blog to help others sleep at night to prevent illness.

When I find more music that helps me sleep, I will add it to this post. I'll need to see how it works for me first before I can recommend it.

Dr. Michael Lange explained how lack of sleep affects your eye health at the beginning of this video, "Best Source of Omega-3, Organic Meat - 'Ask The Doctor' with Dr. Michael Lange April 25, 2012."

Thank you.

I'm listening to Meditation (Absolute Tai Chi) song 2 and Lullabies Relaxing Piano Music on Oct 3rd, 2013.

Edit October 5, 2013:
When I was stressed, I felt more ill. I listen to relaxation music to reduce stress. Here is the list of relaxation music that I find helpful.

Water Song - Medwyn Goodall

Edit November 30, 2013 at night:
I was searching for a piano facebook page and found this awesome guitar tapping with piano, Time of Wonder by two brothers, City in the Sound.  I felt refreshed and kept listening to it. Two thumbs up. Great job! Thanks.

Salmon, Catfish, Sour Soup, Chia Seeds, Flax Seeds

I thought I edited this post and saved the draft on 4/5/2013 so I must have typed this post before that date.

Today's lunch around noon:
First bowl: salmon, wakame seaweed, ginger, garlic, black pepper, cucumber, and spearmint (rau lủi in Vietnamese).
Second bowl - sour soup: catfish, tomato, pineapple, peppermint (bạc hà in Vietnamese), bean sprouts (giá), cilantro (ngò om), and fish sauce.
Smoothie: chia seeds, flax seeds, plain yogurt, and papaya.
Dessert: banana, coconut milk, with a little bit of brown sugar, tapioca flour (bột mì tinh). It's called "chè chuối" in Vietnamese.

Dr. Willie Ong explains health benefits of bananas in this video, "Bananas are Very Healthy for You - Dr. Willie Ong Health Blog #2"

Dinner around 7PM:
First bowl: sour soup
A bowl of young coconut water and pulp, aloe vera
Second bowl: sour soup
A bowl of smoothie: chia seeds, papaya, and plain yogurt. I did not add flax seed because I preferred flax seed with banana to papaya. On facebook, Bed Bath and Beyond posted a recipe for smoothie which includes flax seed, banana, and blueberries. I haven't been able to find blueberries yet but I'll keep looking for them until I find them. In the video that I posted on December 20, 2012, blueberries were among the fruits that Dr. Axe's mother has eaten to help her heal cancer when it returned.
