Recipes Videos - How I Modify Recipes for Health

Sept 28, 2013

Hello,

I'll continue to post recipes of the foods I've been eating to help me build up my health.

Healthy Drinks:
Papaya-Banana Smoothie:
After Oct 1, 2012 I started drinking Papaya-Banana smoothie after finding the recipe from breast cancer survivor Barbara's article, "Papaya is Tasty Way to Fight Cancer and Poor Digestion." Thank you Barbara and Natural News web site for sharing.
Ingredients:
1 cup of whatever kind of milk pleases you
1/4 cup Greek style yogurt
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 ripe papaya, peeled, seeded and chopped
1 banana, peeled and sliced
1 cup ice cubes

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a large glass and garnish with lime.
My Comment:
I used plain yogurt.

Kiwi Strawberry Smoothie:
I had kiwi strawberry smoothie today Oct 13, 2013 with the addition of plain yogurt. The instruction in the video says use frozen banana and strawberry, but I use fresh fruits. I've had this kiwi strawberry smoothie for about 4 consecutive days. Kiwi is sour and I'm not fond of sour fruits. I wanted to mix kiwi with something else and I chose this Kiwi Strawberry recipe. Thanks utubefoods.

Desserts:
Today, I found Helen's video to show you banana with coconut milk and tapioca pearls dessert. Thank you, Helen.
I ate this banana with coconut milk and tapioca pearls dessert after meals because the flour makes me feel full. However, I'd prefer to have it before any meal because it has fruit.
Helen used white sugar in the video, but I tried not to eat anything white unless it's nature's color for example, coconut. I substituted it with brown sugar until I can find another alternative. I keep the amount of sugar to a minimum. I'm still trying to find healthy alternatives for the flour used in a lot of Vietnamese recipes. What do you suggest?
If you follow my blog, you'll see how I modify recipes for health and still make the food tasty in order to continue eating it frequently.
Please click the Play button to view the dessert video.

For now, I can't find the dessert recipe link that I use. I plan to insert it later.

Soups:
I eat soup at lunch and/or dinner.
Below, you'll see a video on Vietnamese fish sour soup by daoliciousfood. Thank you, daoliciousfood.
She uses catfish. I eat catfish occasionally and the fish must be wild caught.
Important:  For safety, I do not eat shallots or onions on days that I eat/drink honey.

Note:  Daoliciousfood has not made this video available on mobile. If you can't view this video, please try to load it on your computer.

Cần Áo Gài Nút Ở Đằng Trước

I don't know when I'll be able to translate this post into English.

Live a Longer Life

Hello,
I want to extend my life so I am making efforts to achieve my goal. Knowledge is power. I just watched Dr. Oz's video to get more tips on living a longer life and would like to share it with you to help you and your loved ones also live a longer life. Please click here if you want to get the tips on living longer. I would like to embed the video, but Dr. Oz disabled that function.
A lot of us want our family and friends to live long life. We can give material things to show that we think about them in our minds. However, I think it would be best if we can help them understand how our body works, how to live a long and healthy life without diseases. You may think that you're healthy, but are you really healthy? How do you know that you're healthy? Some people say that they haven't visited a doctor for many years to indicate that they're healthy. That does not measure how healthy they are. Disease takes time to show up. When a person feels pain, disease was likely developed inside their body already, but they didn't know it. Please don't think that you are exempt from being ill. Everyone will be sick at some point in their life, but the degree of severity is different. What are you doing to prevent illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, thyroid problems, high blood pressure, kidney stones, gallbladder rupture, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's disease, and others? Do you know if any of your habits, or lifestyles affect your health and if it does, in what way has it affected your health? I'm asking you these important questions to help make you think about what to do with your health, your life, and your loved ones'. My priority in life is health. I'm learning ways to protect myself, taking actions to reverse illnesses, and prevent further damages. It takes a lot of courage and work to reverse one illness, but I'm trying to reverse several simultaneously. It's more difficult than any other laborious tasks one can imagine, even more difficult than climbing several highest mountains in the world. You wouldn't want to go through this. Do you know how to prevent it from happening to you and your loved ones? If you answer "not really," then you'll need to read my blog posts to learn from my experiences. We'll learn together. Imagine we can see the inside of our bodies, I think we would make different, better decisions. If you want to live a long life, then what have you done to help you reach 90's, or 100 years old, or even beyond that? Have you been eating healthy foods, exercising, reducing stress, and leading a healthy lifestyle?
I've always wished that my parents will live as long as possible. I can't bear looking at my parents' grey hair and wrinkles on their hands. Sobs. I'm afraid that I'll eventually lose them one day. Now, I'll probably leave the Earth before they do. Although I'm very sick, I've tried to find ways to help my parents reduce aches from old age, look and feel better, and alleviate symptoms from diseases. I'm less worried and happy that I can share ways to live a longer life and prevent illnesses with my family, relatives, friends, and everyone.

I think I will come back to add story and/video to this post later. I have more information and thoughts to share about this topic.

Asparagus, Wakame Seaweed, Persimmons (edited)

I typed this journal entry about a week ago, but couldn't post because I had to look up the name persimmons. This fruit has several varieties.
For brunch:
My first bowl contained brown rice, egg, lettuce, gynura acutifolia, beet root, and asparagus. I have not eaten asparagus for many days. My second bowl contained brown rice, salmon with wakame seaweed, and tomatoes, lettuce the wavy kind (I'll check the name again later), cucumber, and asparagus. I eat asparagus to prevent kidney stones and keep my kidney healthy. Asparagus also helps keep skin soft and smooth. Dr. Oz says it helps prevent cancer. The CEO of Apple Inc. Steve Jobs had pancreatic cancer and liver transplant then passed away. I want to protect organs from being affected by my illnesses. I ate wakame seaweed to get iodine for my thyroid. Wakame also provides Fucoidan which helps prevent cancer. I've checked the iodine table and found that wakame seaweed does not have as much iodine as kelp. Dr. Axe recommended a thyroid patient who was taking thyroid medication to take kelp supplement. A Vietnamese doctor has written an article saying that doctors often recommend thyroid patients to avoid or limit on seaweed intake. I have eaten wakame seaweed and feel good so, I would continue eating seaweed instead of taking kelp supplement. I have not tried kelp yet. I am still looking for kelp. My friends can send me dry seaweed. Where can I get kelp seaweed, fresh or dry? Please let me know.

David Schapiro talked about his experiences with Fucoidan and cancer. His wife had diabetes and cancer. She had chemotherapy and passed away in 2011. I am sorry to hear that. He talked about prostate and breast cancer so please click the video below to see what he has to say. David said that if he had cancer, he would not take chemotherapy because he would not survive. He would rather take Fucoidan and adjust his diet. After taking Fucoidan, even women noticed his nice skin. His hair used to be white and it has grown dark as you can see in the video. I would eat seaweeds with Fucoidan instead of taking Fucoidan pills because seaweeds also have other beneficial nutrients that will help me heal.

Youtube user cascadebelle explained the health benefits of kelp in this video

I ate persimmons and felt the sweet taste left in my tongue. Then I dipped grapefruit in a mixture of seasalt and cayenne pepper. Yummy!

Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you and your family health, luck, and prosperity. Wishing the world love and peace. I posted my New Year's resolutions on facebook. Please read them if you haven't. What are your New Year's resolutions? Please share.
Thank you.

My Intensive Research Focuses on Cancer and How It Has Helped Me

Hello,
Although I have been suffering miserably from extreme eye pain and other kinds of pain in different areas simultaneously, I have tried so hard to do extensive research almost every day. I need to rest my eyes. I cannot use the monitor, but no one helps me read health articles, watch videos, and listen to audio files therefore, I have to do it myself. My research focuses on cancer thus, I will post about cancer. I have a strong desire to be healthy and look young for as long as possible thus I find those who look healthy, strong, and much younger than their age such as Dr. Axe to see what they eat. If what they advised made sense, I would follow. I was fortunate to find Dr. Axe online and have introduced him and his web site to many people to help them and also to show my gratitude. One day, I found his video on youtube.com and contacted him on facebook. He replied my question which indicated that he cared about others so I decided to explore his web site more. His writing is clear, easy to understand and structural. Dr. Axe says that he eats as if he has cancer. His style matches mine.  Whenever I tried to read, my eyes hurt to tears so I decided to listen to videos mostly. I learn from different sources, but I always come back to Dr. Axe's web site draxe.com as my primary source of information. Dr. Axe has helped his mother cure her cancer and I would like to have his CD to learn all of his techniques.

Mrs. Axe talks about her breast cancer and holistic approach that saves her life.

I've joined a yahoo group where I can get latest news on cancer. I've also learned what cancer survivors eat, how much, and how often they eat those foods and/or herbs. I selected nutrient dense foods that protect against cancers to eat. I have been using cancer fighting methods to help me heal. After I ate a certain food, I noticed how I felt and keep track of my health progress. I felt light after eating healthy foods that I have posted in different journal entries. Those foods give me some energy to do my research on cancer. They have helped me survive and deal with pain. Imagine without them, I would probably need heavy pain medications all day every day. Many patients recovered after about two years when they started eating healthy foods and changed their lifestyles. This means I have to wait for about one and a half year, but I do not know if I can bear another day of pain and suffering. I will try not to think about the long wait. Health is the most precious thus, I will be patient with myself no matter how long it will take as long as I will recover.  I'll continue to learn as much about health as possible for as long as I live.
If you can come read my blog and/or leave an encouraging message, I think it will help me through this difficult time. Could you please invite others to come read my blog and support me spiritually?

Gynura Acutifolia, Coconut Water with fresh Aloe Vera, Eggs

As I got up around 5:30AM, I had stomach ache and felt nauseous. I got hungry shortly after eating and hunger tortured. There was no time to make breakfast so I ate almost the same food as last night. My breakfast today is more like lunch. I ate the first bowl of brown rice with beet root, Gynura Acutifolia, some eggs mostly the white part, and chicken. For the second bowl of brown rice, I had more eggs, a lot of cucumber, and Gynura Acutifolia. I miss fruits although I just ate it yesterday. Holding a bowl of orange juice in my hands, I thought of the usual sour taste of orange but to my surprise, it was somewhat sweet. If it was sour, I would squint my eyes and gulp it anyways. Then I ate a bowl of sweet green bean gruel with coconut milk, aloe vera, and reddish purple grapes. I usually ate fresh grapes separately, but putting them on top of sweet green bean gruel is interesting. Grape smoothie tastes better.

Natalie explains health benefits of coconut.

Do you like coconut? I have always enjoyed the taste of coconut. After eating coconut, I feel refreshed like a whole new person. I am grateful that I have coconut to eat more often now.

Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, healing methods

Hello,
I cried many times throughout the day after hearing about the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School yesterday. Sending love and peace to the people of Newtown, CT to comfort them.

I have learned that there are thirty seven villages in Viet Nam where many people have died from cancers and many lives are in danger because of harmful chemicals. They need clean water supplies. I hope that someone with a big heart or an organization will help them.
